VectorMaker
Client-side Rust/WASM vector-to-embroidery DST converter with $0 server cost
VectorMaker was engineered by Andrew Zhigun to demonstrate the outer bounds of modern web performance. Instead of sending sensitive CAD vectors to cloud servers, all contour triangulation, stitch density calculations, underlay generation, and binary Tajima DST encoding execute 100% inside the user browser tab via Rust and WebAssembly. The result is zero cloud compute cost for the operator, sub-second generation, and absolute data privacy for client design files.
Systems Architecture Overview
Built with a memory-safe Rust core compiled to WebAssembly via wasm-bindgen and web-sys. Heavy trigonometric computations are offloaded to Web Workers, maintaining a smooth 60 FPS viewport on Canvas/WebGL.
